PROGRAMS FOR SNAPSHOOTERS
Smile
In this basic, nontechnical talk, snapshooters will learn how to get the most out of their digital point-and-shoot cameras. The amply illustrated presentation will explain how they can make pictures of family, friends, and vacations they'll be proud to show off.
Photos and Papers
Participants will have fun in this practical hands-on workshop in which they'll use their photos as the focal point of original greeting and note cards. The attendees will create them with a variety of techniques, unique papers, and decorative scissors.
Out of the Shoebox
This lecture, with an optional hands-on workshop, will show participants how to create photo albums that are a delight to look at, not dull and boring. They'll also learn how to care for their pictures so they can be enjoyed for many years to come.
There Ain’t No Tin in Tintypes
The fascinating early history of photography, from the camera obscura to the dry-plate process— the experimentations . . . the challenges . . . the wonder . . . the successes. I will also bring samples of photographs made by these remarkable early processes. This should be a "must" program for anyone interested in photography.
History of Photography, part two
This presentation continues the story of the amazing inventions and discoveries that have given us color photographs
